Charles Ellis Hardison

1973-1990

Charles’ murder at home in Milton on April 11, 1990, sent shock waves through his family, school, and the community.

Charles participated in musical, athletic and leadership activities at Milton High. He was the Vice-president and co-founder of Students of African Descent, an organization which bridges racial relationships at the school. A scholarship is given annually in his name.

An outstanding tennis player, Charles served as captain of the Sportsman’s Junior Tennis Team, traveling to the Soviet Union during the summer of 1988, where he won all of his singles matches.

Charles is missed by his parents, Larry and Adlene, sister, LaVon, family and friends. Special in many ways, he was loved because of his willingness to give of his time to others He stood up for his beliefs with intensity and conviction, and could win you over with his charm and infectious smile.
